Postage & Late Fees
One Knight Hire offers Australia-wide shipping via Australia Post Express Post. A flat-rate postage fee of $30 includes delivery and a prepaid Express Post return satchel. Most orders are dispatched 2–5 business days before your event, although regional areas may require additional delivery time.
Once your parcel has been marked as delivered, responsibility transfers to the renter. Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details, monitoring tracking and ensuring the garment is collected promptly. One Knight Hire is not responsible for courier delays, lost or stolen parcels after delivery, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
All garments must be returned by the agreed return date using the prepaid return satchel and lodged over the counter at Australia Post. Late returns incur a fee of $10 per garment, per day until the garment has been returned. If a garment is not returned, One Knight Hire reserves the right to recover the full replacement value of the garment, outstanding fees and any associated recovery costs.
Refund Policy
At One Knight Hire, every booking reserves a dress exclusively for your selected dates, meaning it's no longer available for anyone else to hire. Because of this, we ask that you carefully read our Refund Policy before placing your booking.
We unfortunately can't offer refunds, exchanges or Store Credit if your dress doesn't fit, so we recommend checking the size guide, measurements and product description before booking. If you're unsure, please get in touch—we're always happy to help with sizing advice.
If you need to cancel your booking, cancellations made within 6 hours of purchase may be eligible for a refund, provided your dress hasn't been prepared or dispatched. After this time, refunds aren't available, although we may offer Store Credit for cancellations made 7 or more days before your event.
While we always dispatch orders with plenty of time, we can't control Australia Post or courier delays. If your parcel is delayed due to circumstances outside our control, refunds won't be available, however we'll always do our best to help and may offer Store Credit or move your booking where possible.
If your dress arrives with an issue that wasn't previously disclosed, please let us know within 8 hours of receiving it. The garment must remain unworn, and we'll ask for clear photos so we can assess the issue.
In the rare event that your booked dress becomes unavailable due to damage, loss or unforeseen circumstances, we'll do our best to provide a similar replacement. If that's not possible, we'll happily offer you a full refund or Store Credit.
Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Damage Fees
At One Knight Hire, we understand that accidents can happen. Our dresses are professionally cleaned, carefully inspected and loved by many customers, so we simply ask that you treat every garment with care throughout your hire.
Our dresses are rental garments, so minor signs of wear consistent with normal use are expected. However, if a dress is returned with damage beyond normal wear and tear such as stains, tears, burns, broken zips, missing embellishments, permanent odours or any other avoidable damage you may be responsible for the cost of cleaning, repairs or replacement.
Professional dry cleaning is included in every rental, so please don't attempt to wash, dry clean, alter or repair your garment yourself. If an accident happens during your hire, simply let us know as soon as possible. We understand that genuine accidents happen and appreciate your honesty.
If a dress is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair, you be charged up to the full Recommended Retail Price (RRP) or replacement value of the garment. Please note that paying a replacement fee does not transfer ownership of the garment, which remains the property of One Knight Hire.
Every garment is inspected before and after each hire, and any damage will be assessed fairly. Where applicable, we may provide photographs or repair invoices to support any charges. Customers with outstanding damage fees may be refused future bookings until all amounts have been paid.

Garment Care
At One Knight Hire, every dress is professionally cleaned, carefully inspected and prepared before each hire to ensure it arrives in beautiful condition for your special event.
As our collection consists of luxury rental garments, our dresses are enjoyed by multiple customers throughout their lifetime. Because of this, you may notice minor signs of wear consistent with normal rental use. These small imperfections, such as light creasing or minor loose threads, do not affect the quality or wearability of the garment. If a dress has any noticeable imperfections, they will be disclosed in the product description where applicable.
We recommend trying your dress on as soon as it arrives to ensure you're happy with the fit and condition before your event. If you notice an undisclosed issue, please contact One Knight Hire within 8 hours of delivery or collection with clear photographs before wearing the garment.
While enjoying your rental, we kindly ask that you treat the dress with care. Please avoid anything that may stain or damage the fabric, including makeup, fake tan, food, drinks, jewellery, rough surfaces and hot styling tools. Our garments are professionally cleaned after every hire, so please do not wash, dry clean, steam, alter or repair the dress yourself.
If accidental damage occurs during your hire, simply let us know as soon as possible. We understand that genuine accidents happen and appreciate honest communication so we can organise the best solution.
Once your event is over, please return your garment in accordance with our Postage & Late Fees Policy, ensuring any accessories supplied with the dress are returned at the same time.
