Garment Information

At One Knight Hire, we take great pride in maintaining our collection to the highest possible standard. Every garment is professionally cleaned, carefully inspected and prepared before each hire to ensure it arrives in beautiful condition for your special event.

As our dresses are luxury rental garments, they are enjoyed by multiple customers throughout their lifetime. We kindly ask that every renter treats each garment with the same care and respect they would their own, helping us preserve the quality of our collection for future customers.


General Wear & Tear

Unlike purchasing a brand-new garment, renting allows you to enjoy designer fashion at a fraction of the retail price. As a result, our garments may display minor signs of wear that are consistent with normal rental use.

Examples of normal wear and tear may include subtle creasing, minor loose threads, slight wear to the lining, or general signs of professional cleaning. These minor imperfections do not affect the appearance, quality or wearability of the garment and are considered a normal part of the rental process.

Where a garment has any noticeable imperfections that may materially affect its appearance, these will be disclosed within the product description wherever reasonably practicable.


Before Your Event

We recommend trying your garment on as soon as it arrives to ensure you are happy with the fit and condition before your event.

Please inspect your garment carefully upon arrival.

If you notice a condition issue that was not previously disclosed, you must notify One Knight Hire within eight (8) hours of delivery or collection. The garment must remain unworn, and clear photographic evidence must be provided before any claim can be assessed.

Failure to notify us within the required timeframe or wearing the garment before reporting the issue may result in your claim being declined.


Caring for Your Rental

While wearing your garment, we ask that you take reasonable care to avoid anything that may stain, tear or otherwise damage the fabric.

Please take extra care around makeup, fake tan, food, drinks, jewellery, handbags, perfumes, rough surfaces and hot styling tools. Delicate designer fabrics can be easily damaged by sharp objects, excessive pulling or accidental spills.

Customers must not wash, dry clean, steam, alter or repair any garment unless expressly instructed by One Knight Hire. Our garments are professionally cleaned and maintained using specialist methods suitable for delicate fabrics.

Attempting to clean or repair a garment yourself may result in further damage and additional charges.


During Your Hire

From the time your garment is delivered or collected until it has been returned, you remain responsible for its care and safekeeping.

If accidental damage occurs during your hire, we simply ask that you contact One Knight Hire as soon as possible. We understand that genuine accidents happen, and prompt communication allows us to organise repairs quickly and minimise disruption to future bookings.


After Your Event

Once you've finished wearing your garment, please return it in accordance with our Postage & Late Fees Policy.

Please ensure all accessories supplied with the garment, including belts, straps or other detachable items, are returned together with the dress.

Failure to return supplied accessories may result in replacement charges.
